Alumni Weekend is September 18th and 19th, 2026, and is open to all ANDP, OLP, NC, and NCC alumni and friends.
Some events do require an RSVP! Please ensure you are registered accordingly.

Friday, September 18th
Alumni Pregame Bash
Join your classmates and friends for a pregame celebration on The Hill before your Thoroughbreds take on Raceland High School!
We will be celebrating on the plaza of the Ciafardini Family Athletic Complex 90 minutes before game time! The event is fun for the whole family. Enjoy photos with the mascot, Thoroughbred face tattoos, cookies by Crumble, and the full concession stand! While you’re here, shop NCC spiritwear at our pop-up shop, including an exclusive alumni shirt not sold anywhere else!
During halftime, we will welcome back all past homecoming kings and queens! You won’t want to miss this!
When: 6:00 PM – 90 mins before game time
Where: Ciafardini Family Athletic Complex Plaza
Game Day Ticket Required For Entry: You do not need to RSVP, but you will need a ticket to the game to enjoy the Pregame Bash!
Newport Central Catholic Vs. Raceland High School
Cheer on your Newport Central Catholic Thoroughbreds to victory as they take on Raceland High School at NCC! In addition to a great time, it is also the homecoming game (talk about a throwback!)
When: 7:30 PM

Calling Past Homecoming Kings and Queens
Calling past ANDP, OLP, NC, and NCC homecoming kings and queens! Help us celebrate our first homecoming at the Ciafardini Family Athletic Complex.
Help us showcase the past while celebrating all the future holds by walking the field during halftime. Be sure to wear your crown and sash if you have them! (Better call mom and dad or search the basement!) RSVP below by Friday, September 11th, so we know how much royalty to expect. We will call you down to the field a few minutes before halftime.

Post game party!
Let’s keep the good times rolling! Immediately following the game, join us at 927 Reserve for the official alumni post-game party. Owners Matt and Stephanie Peluso Steffen ’88 will have the bar hopping with Thoroughbred pride. No RSVP required – but the fun most certainly is!
The Thoroughbred Lager will be on sale for take-home during the event!

Saturday, September 19th
ALumni Mass
Join your alumni community as we come together to worship. Fr. Michael Hennigan will be the celebrant as we come together to celebrate our most important pillar — faith.
When: 8:30 AM
Where: NCC = St. John Paul II Chapel
No RSVP is needed. All are welcome!
Thoroughbred 5K
Join us for the Thoroughbred 5K, a fun run for all ages! Whether you’re an avid runner, a casual walker, or simply looking for a great way to spend time with family and friends, everyone is welcome to participate.
Registration includes an event T-shirt (guaranteed for participants who register by September 1, 2026, while supplies last afterward) and a lunch voucher to enjoy after the event. Kids are encouraged to join the fun, and strollers are welcome on the track.
Come enjoy a day of fresh air, exercise, and community spirit as we trot together toward the finish line.
When: Check In: 9:00 AM (following Mass)
Run/ Walk: 10:00 AM
