HONOR ROLL REQUIREMENTS

Remember that honor roll is computed based on a weighted GPA.  This takes into account honors and AP classes.  To make first honors a student's overall weighted GPA must be 4.0 or higher and the student may not have any grade below an 87%.  In order to make second honors a student's overall weighted GPA must be 3.50 or higher with no grade below a 79%.  You will receive a letter with your child's report card stating their honor roll status.  For additional information you can click on our menu option of NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY located on our HOME PAGE under Student Clubs.  (Back to top)

A senior student is assigned an incoming freshman for each school year. 

DRIVING DIRECTIONS TO NCC  

I 471 (North)

  1.       Take Exit 3 – Newport/Ft. Thomas Exit

  2.       Bear left on the exit ramp.  The ramp will take you to Grand Ave/Carothers Rd.

  3.       Count three traffic lights

  4.       At the third light turn right (You will be entering the access road to Kmart)

  5.       Bear to your right and follow the sign up our hill.

  6.       The gym entrance is the door with the thoroughbred on the roof. (Back to top)

I 471 (South)

  1.       Take Exit 3 – Newport/Ft. Thomas Exit

  3.       Count two traffic lights – not counting the one at the bottom of the ramp

  4.       At the second light turn right (You will be entering the access road to Kmart)

Directions to Newport Stadium for Football

I-471 North

Take exit #5 Newport /Bellevue Exit.  Turn Right.  Turn right on Riveria Drive (Corner of Party Source).  Turn Right onto Sixth Street .  Make a left into Newport High School Parking Lot.  Drive ½ mile and park under I-471.  The football stadium is behind the baseball field and tennis courts.

I-471 South

Take exit #5 Newport /Bellevue Exit.  Follow the loop until you come to Dave Cowens Drive.  Turn Right.  At the third traffic light turn right on Riveria Drive (Corner of Party Source).  Turn Right onto Sixth Street .  Make a left into Newport High School Parking Lot.  Drive ½ mile and park under I-471.

Directions to Morscher Field - NCC BASEBALL HOME FIELD

  • I-471 South to U.S. 27 
  • Go approximately 3 miles to State Route 1998.
  • Turn left onto S.R. 1998.  
  • Turn right on to Route 8.

What is the policy on students with cell phones?

Students may have cell phones however they must be turned off and out of sight during school hours.
