Congrats to Coach Ron Dawn on being named 9th Region Coach of The
Year by the Kentucky Association Basketball Coaches. (March)

Coach Ron Dawn Makes History
When Newport Catholic girls' basketball coach Ron
Dawn guided his lady 'Breds to the Kentucky state All
"A" title, he made hoops history. In 2000, Coach Dawn's
boys' NCC team also scored the Kentucky state All "A"
title. Thus, Coach Dawn has become the first coach in the 21-year
history of the All "A" Classic tournament to seal the
state championship with both a boys' and a girls' team. Congrats,
